1993 Fiat Tipo S review from Malta
"Cheap transport from ex car of the year"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Upon buying the car I had to change t
he front suspension to eliminate squeaks.
Head gasket blew at 60.000miles possibly due to engine fan failure.
Blowers fan failed. A replacement proved to be costly.
Interior trim will age quickly especially the seats.
A clutch replacement is imminent due to a hard clutch pedal.
General comments?
The car is quick for a 1.4 engine.
Handling is good and the brakes are strong.
Stereo is placed in an uncomfortable position.
Overall I will recommend this car especially as a second car because parts are reasonable and many of them can be shared from the UNO model. Servicing is easy with some basic know how.
