"An underpowered, overthirsty, unreliable monstrosity with warp drive depreciation"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Clutch master & slave cylinders.

Broken timing belt.

Water pump leak(s).

Alternator failure.

Rear wiper seized.

Clutch worn out.

Camshaft oil seal leakage.

Ignition failure.

Gear change problems.

Various squeaks & rattles.

Currently a strange noise from the engine.

General comments?

Would never, ever ever buy another Fiat. This vehicle has made me the laughing stock of the neighbourhood as I am never away from the car as it requires constant maintenance.

I own a 1991 Tipo 1.4 i.e. At about 113000 km I can say I recognize the worn out clutch trouble. Especially with a cold engine you have to be careful else you will get the feeling the car is loosing parts by the unhealty mechanical noise that's coming from the clutcharea. Its annoying, but I know my car well so I can let it last untill replacement is unavoidable.

I have a 1990 tipo and I love it. it is solid, reliable and cheap to run. it is air conditioned, which is rare for a tipo. my advice... buy one.
