1999 Fiat Ulysse 2.0EL review from UK and Ireland
"Good Value for money could do with the teething troubles sorting out"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New Clutch at 47500 Miles
no major problems until this month 18/07/05 when the car failed to start until the outside temperature rose to 22c, I had to put a heater under the bonnet to warm it up to drive it to the dealers once started OK the rest of the day, or if the engine did not totally cool down suspected cold start sensor dealer quoted around £100 to rectify (Still at Dealers).
Key fails to lock doors from remote only opens them to be rectified by dealer at cost.
Sliding door on the left failed to open using outside handle I repaired myself twice, poor design of leaver spring clamp.
General comments?
It pulls our caravan OK, but not a patch on our 2.2D Laguna.
Seven seats with five rear pullouts turns into a great van.
All four kids wife and Mum in law seated in comfort.
Climate control superb.
Sliding doors are good, but one has been unreliable.
Performs good, but comes on cam quick in first gear around 4000 rpm.
Sunroof has never worked properly, but it did not in any other second hand Ulysses, 806, synergie, we viewed.
