1993 Fiat Uno Hobby review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap and cheerful motoring"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There seems to be an intermittant problem with the idling of this car when the engine is cold and hot. The car seems to stall out and it is running very rich resulting in poor fuel comsumption.
Tacky plastic trim which easily breaks.
The speedometer has stopped working.
Unstable ride when the car is not loaded up.
Leaky sunroof after a shower of rain, as well as arond the door seals.
Useless rust protection especially around the doors and arch's.
General comments?
This car is great fun to drive.
For a 1 litre car it's actually quite nippy once you get the rev's up.
However this car suffers with terrible lag after around 4000 rpm's which is when you most need extra power for motorway joining.
Very comfy seats good for long distance journeys as well as plenty of headroom for tall people.
Although I would liked to have seen better trim and features on this car such as a clock and a fag lighter, very sparse.
Although what do you expect for a cheap car such as this.
