1994 Ford Aspire SE Sport 1.6L from North America

Summary:

What a cute little car!

Faults:

Shifter rough.

Fog lamps leak.

Door locks binding up.

General Comments:

This is a great little car with some minor nuisances.

The locks were fixed under warranty with an updated lock knob bezel.

Also the shifter was repaired.

I get great gas mileage and this car has never failed to start and get me to work and back.

I have the SE Sport model, 1.3L 5 speed (don't buy an automatic, it saps what little power this car has), also no power steering (same reason), air conditioning, 4 wheel ABS brakes, and sport spoiler package.

Interior trim and gauges.

Don't expect a Ferrari and you'll love this car.

1994 Ford Aspire SE 1.3 from North America

Summary:

1-800 Dent Wizard..... you'll need it

Faults:

Well, there have been a few things here and there. Nothing major though, the car has always run even when it was having problems.

General Comments:

This car is great except for the fact that you can dent the car just by tapping it. I work at a grocery store and I swear those carts have about beaten this poor car to death on the passenger side. I'm planning to go to the paintless repair shop this year and have them all fixed because it is becoming an eyesore.

I've thought about getting another Aspire but they are no longer in production.

1994 Ford Aspire 1.3 from North America

Summary:

Great car, excellent economy vehicle!

Faults:

Nothing really, I had a rear bearing go bad but that's it.

General Comments:

I only wrote this because I saw a review that someone wrote on the Aspire on here and it was really bad, all I can say is that this has been one of the best cars I have ever had, it has always started for me and ran great, my engine has a heap of miles on it and it still runs great, smooth, burns no oil and has good pick up.

All I can think of is that this other person dogged there Aspire out or something because mine has always been great to me.

Plus my Festiva which I still have with 220,000 miles is also still running as strong as ever.

1994 Ford Aspire 1.3 from North America

Summary:

Very dependable

Faults:

Nothing that I can think of right this second, I know that when I first got it a front shock broke or became twisted or something, but that was my brother's fault for going over a railroad track at 75 mph.

General Comments:

Great little car, not much power, even less with the A/C on.

1994 Ford Aspire 3 door hatchback 1.3L 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

A reliable, fun, inexpensive car

General Comments:

I love my Aspire. It's attractive, reliable, fun & easy to drive, comfortable (for a compact car), and inexpensive to own.

With gas prices as high as they have been it only costs me around $11 or $12 to fill up the 10 gallon tank on my Aspire with 93 octane gasoline.

I would recommend this car for anyone who enjoys small cars and wouldn't mind saving some cash.

You don't need to put 93 octane. I own an Aspire. they take 87. double check owner's manual if you don't believe, but the higher octane can damage the cylinders.

What a time capsule. Today, that same Aspire would cost $33 to fill up on regular (gas is $3.30/gallon around here). Can't fathom why these SUV owners simply turn over their paychecks to the gas attendant.

Still a great car, but not as fun to drive as the Festiva it replaced.

1994 Ford Aspire 1.3 from North America

Summary:

All I can say is that it's a reliable car

Faults:

Nothing major, oil leak, brakes, muffler.

General Comments:

Car made really cheap. Keys break off every other month, hubcaps are faded out, airbag covers are coming apart.

Another thing, this car is SLOW. All I can say is that it's a reliable car, it has never let me down or given me any reason to make me think that it will. If they would have put a little more thought into this car it could have been really nice.
