The paint is in minor need of being touched up on the painted bumpers.
O2 sensor needed to be replaced.
Minor leak in radiator.
Minor axle seal leak.
Well, I have now owned my bronco for about 2k miles and love every minute in this thing. You seriously tower over all sedans and even a lot of other trucks and suvs. It is easy to drive, maneuver, and park. Like most people say, this is the last of the real SUVs.
I own a 96 XLT. It has power windows, locks, cruise, 4wheel ABS, power lumbar, cd, tilt, etc. It's a step below the eddie bauer, I'm simply missing the leather and compass/ garage bin mounted on the headliner.
I have yet to experience any negatives with my ride. It has the 5.8 windsor, excellent for offroading and towing. And I only average a few miles less than the good ole 5.0.
Recently it has been averaging about 16mpg in town and close to 20+ on the freeway. It is currently running on 32inch BFG Mud Terrains which in my opinion are the only tire you should run on this rig, but that is only my opinion.
The tires are all around excellent on the Bronc, however you do get a bit of tire humm on the freeway.
Fit and finish is typical ford, a few of the trim pieces need to be re-glued/screwed.
My power window in the rear has yet to fail.
I have yet to change the oil, but I have been told a good 5w-30 is recommended. Going to go full synthetic as well.
If you are into trucks, 4x4, off-road, a mans man (or woman) than this rig is for you. And who knows in 30 or 40 years it will prob. be a great collectors rig. It's hard to find ones in great shape as of now.
Oh and man talk about getting envious looks... The ladies seem to love it.
I was lucky enough to find an all red, kind of like the nite edition, but obviously bright red.
The fiberglass topper tends to fade, I am either going to get it painted with proper fiberglass spray, or looking into some fiberglass oxidation remover from 3M.
There are awesome web sites out there dedicated to Broncs and lots of people with Bronc knowledge. A great rig to DIY it on if you feel up to it.

Now at 126XXX plus miles the Bronco still runs like new. My mileage at first is probabley a bit off, recently looking more like 16 in town and 17-18 on the freeway. But this is a 4x4, I've only had to use the low range a couple of times. Glad I had it. Still love the rig, fuel prices suck, but I'm sucking it up and driving the hell out of this thing. This will eventually become my 2nd rig, but right now it is my daily driver, would love to hand this thing down to my kids some day.
Do your basic maintenance and you are solid as gold. We need to take care of these "classic" trucks. Still put the newer euro 4x4s to shame every now and then. Cheers and drive safe.

The bronco I own has been the best thing I've ever bought. If you see one for sale, buy it. You won't regret your buy.

People, if you only do one thing, change your fluids and your cars will love you. If you go above and beyond changing your fluids, American cars will last 300k easy.
Buy an extended warranty; you will thank yourself, and if you don't, buy a Chiltons or likewise.
Drive safe, keep trucking and buy a Bronco, I think I might start collecting them because people are getting ummm stupid at letting these things go for less that 5k. If you own one, don't fall for NADA or KBB; these rigs are priceless.
Update:
Now at 133k on the odometer. Still running smooth. Super easy to do your own oil changes and this way I can afford full synthetic!
Auto hubs started to ooze grease, figure I'll eventually install some warn manual locking hubs.
Black Jack shine, keeps the fiber glass top shiny new looking... you have to apply it once to twice a month depending on the amount of time you rig is out in the sun and rain though. But best investment I've found that like I said makes the faded tops look like new!
God bless Ford for making these rigs! Now they just need to keep up that quality... ;)

I've had my '96 Eddie Bauer Bronco for almost 2 years now. It is absolutely great. It has not failed me yet. I was fortunate enough to get one in very good shape. It is my favorite vehicle of all time.
