I have owned my 1979 Custom Bronco since 1986 and have been to hell and back with it. Lifted it with a ford lift. The rear 4" blocks are from a 1978 ford high boy 3/4 ton and the front springs are off a 1976 ford 2 wheel drive 3/4 ton. The front springs are the same length as the stock Bronco springs, just stiffer, they give me 4" of front lift. The best part of using those springs is that I didn't have to change any of the front suspension parts. Because they bolted right in. The only parts that I had to replace were the u-bolts, lengthen the rear drive shaft, longer shocks and all the front rubber bushings. The bushings needed replacement anyway. He (Rusty) has had 3 engines, 2 transmissions, 2 rear-ends, put on it's side once and rolled once and wrote-off once. I just keep rebuilding him. Rusty will live for EVER!

I have a 1971 Ford F-100 4X4, my Grandfather gave me. I totally restored this truck and took my time and its very nice. I painted the truck white just like it came from the factory and added dual Ford blue racing stripes, just like the color of the motor. To match the paint job I put a 427ci crankshaft in her and a lot of awesome racing parts. I had to make a lot of changes to the rear end and leaf springs. But with over 600+hp you are going to want to, I take the truck to a lot of car shows. And one my trucks mud flaps it says "FORD THE BEST NEVER REST". And I thank Ford for making the nicest trucks and cars ever built.

I have a 79 Bronco. It has a 400 auto, and it does not have low back seats.

It runs great. I bought it from the original owner. It had 79,000 miles.

I drove it to Mexico 5 hours from where I live. The only problem I had was the $210 gas bill for the round trip...

I`m a 16 year old boy thinking about buying a 1979 Bronco with high miles. It's got a 351 with a t 18 granny transmission. Very minor rust, the only problem is it is the ugliest color green I have ever seen. The hard top is black and seems to be in decent shape and doesn't leak. But anyway I was wondering how much a Bronco like this would be worth?

I'm 18 years old and recently (Dec.26,2008) bought a 1979 Bronco Ranger XLT with some 80,000 miles on it. I drove her from a pretty long distance to my home. She ran great and gave me the ride of my life. The only problem is she is burning oil uncontrollably and smoking heavily. I plan to soothe the 351M and change my C6's fluid and take her to college. The body merely needs work (hey they're tanks) and the A/C needs gas. I plan on 33x10.5R15 tires for wheeling on Ramcharger slim spoke rims. I'm only having problems with my wiring for stop, turn, etc. but I'll fix that. By the way I live in Puerto Rico and could use a few buddies to wheel with and trade time, anyone interested here is my number 787-240-3148 my name is Joe by the way.

I owned a 1979 Bronco Custom when I was 18, sold it and regretted it ever since. Today I picked one up on craigslist for 1000 bucks, and I plan on keeping it. 78-79 Broncos rule the road.
