1989 Ford Bronco Eddie Baur review from North America
"Best all around"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well it is a 17 year old vehicle so things failing are expected. I have replaced the following:
Alternator
Radius Arm Bushings
U-Joints
Front and Rear ring and pinion and all bearings and bolts in them
Radiator
Fan Clutch
Powered Steering Pump
Serpentine Belt
Transfer Case Actuator
had miscellaneous vacuum leaks fixed
camber and casters replaced
in tank fuel pump.
General comments?
Over all this car has demanded more repairs because of the previous owners not taking care of the vehicle when they had the chance to prevent all of the currently repaired items. I bought the vehicle understanding the repairs that were to be made so I am not surprised at all. this has been a dang good vehicle for me and when in 4wd you cannot stop it. it handles well and as far as gas it gets about the same as newer model 4wd's so I am relatively happy.
