1985 Ford Bronco II review from North America
"Not the best"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rocker arm shafts on both sides had to be replaced, not due to the valve adjustment. I had the carburator rebuilt, but still fails to run correctly even with a tune up.
Replaced valve cover gaskets due to leak. The choke seems to fails aswell.
General comments?
This vehicle consumes it's fair share of fuel. The carburetor is a real pain. The engine is under powered. This vehicle is also equipped with too much emissions control. It handles OK, as long as you do the mmaintenance, such as the joints, bearings etc...
The heater seems to be excellent. I would like to change the engine to a 2.9 (F.I.) It has a 2.8l right now, that I do not recommend
