1986 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer review from North America
"Great Reliable, customizable rig"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air filter to pass emmissions.
Needs tune up.
Changed fluids when I bought it.
Stalls in traffic.
Occaional Overheating.
Needs new dash (sun fading and dark rotten look)
Power everything, and nothing at the same time.
General comments?
The reviews have given me more confidence in the bronco bought it from a guy and his wife, it is great. It really hops around if you hit the gas. The engine does get a little stressed becasue of how underpowered it is.
My A/C works great for this sumer heat, and after flushing the radiator, it runs at the "m" on normal all the time.
Before buying the car I called my uncle that owns a engine rebuilding business. He cautioned me of the over heating and that the truck would probably crack a header soon and to wach my heat.
My Dash lights had also burnt out, no speedometer at night, but I found that the light were the easy part to find at the junk yard (just find any fort mid 80's, they are so closley related) But taking apart the dash was a nightmare.
The car is great, no major problems yet, and I'm gonna tune it up this weekend. I love it so far (it is a chick magnet).
