1990 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer review from North America
"Bronco II is a great suv"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I am writing to help some people who own the '89 and '90 Bronco II with the oil pressure problem. Yes, they do have a pump problem in this Bronco II model 2.9L. What I did is used a k&n oil filter, 4 liters of quaker state full synthic 10w-30, 420ml of x-1r preformance lubricant, and 700ml of Lucas oil. This blend stopped lifter tick and engine oil starvation. It did not increase oil pressure, but that doesn't matter. The blend of oil sticks to all metal parts so when I drive it at 2000 and up rpm, the oil psi is up and when you come back down to idle and psi is low, the oil is already stuck to the very important parts and this keeps that engine alive. Trust me, my '90 Bronco II Eddie Bauer had this oil problem and this mix of oil is the best way to stop the problem.
General comments?
This is a good blend of oil..
