1986 Ford Capri Laser review from UK and Ireland
"A fantastic, head-turning car for peanuts"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Since I have owned my Capri, nothing has gone wrong. I have serviced her on a regular basis and this has ensured she always started first time, every time.
General comments?
I have binned the original 1600 Pinto engine as at 140,000 miles it was going to begin to get tired and show it's age.
My car now has a 2000 Double Overhead Camshaft, fuel injected engine taken from a 1992 Granada.
Her brakes have been uprated to Billet 4-pots with drilled and grooved discs accompanied by EBC Green-stuff pads.
I have a complete 2.8i interior taken from a sub 50,000 car.
Body-wise, she has a Motor-sport front spoiler, CCI Turbo-tail, chrome racing mirrors and she has been de-bumpered.
