1996 Ford Contour Sport review from North America

I bought this car on a Friday in February. The very next day, the over drive light started flashing so I took it back to the dealer and lost the car for two weeks. They replaced that transmission and the clutch. This should have been my first warning.

When I acquired the car, the passenger's window was broken.

When I finally got my car back after two weeks, the compact disc player broke.

The car struggles to drive now.

It is March 3, 2003 and the over drive light has started flashing again.

My parents suggested to me after the first incident with the overdrive to take the car back, but I decided to give the car the benefit of the doubt.

It is my first car, and all I have to say is listen to your parents.

This car has been driving me crazy since I purchased it about a month ago.

It was being repaired for two weeks and I have only had it for two weeks and the same problem seems to be emerging.

I listened to every single sound the car made afraid of the next thing that would go wrong with the car.

I felt more comfortable driving my parents' 1987 mini van.

I have decided that I am taking the car back, and if the dealer refuses to take the car back I am taking him to court.

No one should be put through what I have experienced, I spent $5300 on this car and I will never buy a car from Ford again.

This has been the worst experience that a first time car owner has been put through and I think that I might just walk back and forth to University next year instead of buying another car.
