1997 Ford Contour review from North America
"Would make good boat anchor!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My head gasket blew, pistons fried, engine has constant tick.
The electrical box was melted
together.
The radiator went.
2 thermostats have broken.
Brakes, tie rod end, CV joints, wheel bearings went.
Overheats idling.
Fan doesn't work, numerous electrical problems.
General comments?
This car is good for nothing. Never buy a Ford Contour.
Ford blew it with this model.
I would never and will never buy one or recommend one.
Blue Book value is nothing on it.
It had problems the day we brought it home and never stopped having problems.
