1997 Ford Contour GL Sport review from North America
"Reasonable commuter car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Temperature gauge died.
Idles like a tractor when AC is on and in D.
Dealer told me the repair kit designed for this problem does not solve the problem.
I just put it in neutral at lights.
Fold out cup holder broke. New one cost $70 at dealer. The $1 vent cup holder works fine.
Door handles are hard to open.
General comments?
Bought the car to drive 100 miles round trip
to work.
30 mpg. It is a very comfortable car to drive and handles very well.
Since it is a Ford you can buy them used for very little money. This one had very low mileage and looks fantastic.
