1999 Ford Cougar review from North America
"Good car, but I would not recommend you buy one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Timing belt 80,000.
Timing belt 82,000 Ford said that it was put in improperly the first time.
Front vent by windshield flaps.
Trunk will not open unless I use the key.
Check engine light is always on.
When I am at a stop the rpms stay at 3000 then go back down this normally happens after I have been using cruise control.
General comments?
I have had a few problems, but I am in the middle with this car. I like it and it has been good to me.
I guess I just did not expect any problems until I hit the 100,000 mark. I drive about 800 miles a month if that.
