1988 Ford Crown Victoria LX review from North America
"Best Crown Vic I have owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car came with Lincoln Continental gold flaked heated windshield that was hooked directly to alternator. The windshield had open circuit and alternator light came on.
In 2000 a new heated windshield was not available so that
I had the have module of system removed from under dash
which cost about $500.
General comments?
The fuel injection makes for fast easy starting in winter. The 302 V8 has very ample power. This was a great Montana car before speed limits came in as it cruised at 90 with no effort. Also it was very quiet and smooth at highway speeds.
The tufted red velvet (plush) seats have held up and show little wear. Love this car and will have a factory rebuilt 302 engine installed some day.
