2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor review from North America
"There is not a better car for the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced all 8 coil packs. 5 out of 8 were misfiring. The person before me installed Autolite plugs and Autolite spark plug boots, which the Autolite plugs were leaking compression around the ceramic. I replaced the spark plugs and spark plug boots with Motorcraft parts. No more problems since car seems to run great with no misfires.
General comments?
This is a 4 door sports car. It handles like a Z28 Camaro; stiff suspension, nice firm shifts under heavy acceleration, lots of power.
AC will freeze you out the car in the summer, which usually hits 105 degrees here. In the winter, the heater will roast you out.
The car factory speakers sounds good with the after market Sony CD player.
