"A high performance sports luxury family vehicle"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Car needs to warm up a little while on cold days.

General comments?

This car is the only car I ever want to own. This is my second 1991 Crown Victoria. The first one I bought for $500 and loved it. I only had it for four months when it was hit buy a school bus that ran a stop sign on my way home from work. The entire passengers side was damaged from head light to tail light. The front and back door were pushed in about 12 inches and the bus pushed my car like a bulldozer. The only damage to the bus was a scratched bumper. I was emotionally crushed to lose that car. I searched everywhere for another one, even crossing state lines. I looked in The Want Ads, Auto Trader, Auto Hunter, On-line.People tried to talk me into getting something else, something small, cheap, good on gas. But I wanted another Vic. The old ones are harder to come by, but I pressed on. Two years went by and I saw a small add with no picture of what I was looking for and it was a few towns away. As soon as I saw it, I new it was coming home with me. After looking it over and taking it for a drive, I bought it. It had evreything I wanted and more. I paid $2,800,A little more than my first Vic, but it was worth every cent. As with my first Vic, both (Police Interceptors) it was so fast, so strong I just couldn't believe it. The comfort was beyond words, the trunk was huge, the styling was nice, not too boxy, just right. The performance and speed of this car is great. It feels like the fastest car on the road. Handling like a cloud, and gliding across the pavement. It had a few odds and ends to take care of, but nothing major. Anything this car needs, I will do it. It is a very safe car as I come to find out from before, walking away from the accident with the first Vic and not a scratch on me. In the future if I can afford it, Crown Victoria's are the only car I will buy. I would not trade my Vic for any car in the world past, present, or future.

It is a great car. Although it is a big car, it handles extremely well. This is one of the funnest cars I have ever owned.

The Crown Victoria are great cars! I use to own a 91 and it had the 351 engine in it. I now own a 01 CVPI, and also a 95 9c1 Caprice. I would encourage you to go out an try test driving a 94 to 96 Caprice Police 9c1 LT1. The Caprice will runs circles around the Crown Vic, and they are scary fast, fast!!! They are great cars!

I just have a question. Is the 5.8 fuel injected, or is it carbureted? I'm looking into getting one and don't want to deal with carburetors anymore.

About the last comment. The 351 had a variable venturi carburetor on it, Which means it got good gas mileage. But I don't know if they used the carb on 1991s.

Good review. I have owned over 150 Ford, Chevy and Chrysler police package cruisers the past 20 years. Right now I am driving a 02 Ford CV police package and nice 1996 police package Chevy Caprice with LT1. Last week I stumbled onto a mint unmarked police package 1991 Ford Crown Victoria, full luxury options

with 5.8. Only 48,000 original miles. YES - 48,000! Belonged to an EMS and driven by Chief and never served as a police patrol unit. This car is faster then greased lightning, clean as a pin and has zero defects. Ford made a great vehicle in 1991. This baby is going into my garage.

People who own these cars generally like them especially when bought at a bargain price second-hand.

Much better than running a silly little front-driver that falls to pieces before your very eyes.
