1994 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor from North America - Comments

"These are awesome cars--you have to drive one to believe it"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Sticky hood release, nothing other than very minor mechanical things.

General comments?

I have had several PI Crown Vic's from 1994 to 1997. They are workhorse cars, extremely comfortable, great heating and A/C, superb handling and ride, durable and FAST for the size they are. The '97 came with silicone hoses all over and is quiet and smooth, cranking out a nice 22mpg overall--more on trips. It and the older ones will smoke a tire from a dead stop and stop like a fly on a windshield at 80. Cost is NOTHING from police sales, less than $3k, and I have yet to have one die!

None of them have any rust coming out anywhere, even after winter use in snow with salt on the roads. Tires wear evenly. These things are built like TANKS but drive far better than new Cadillacs--and will keep up with most anything on the road, once you get past 55....passing gear is unbelievable. If you put on a cat-back performance exhaust, it only gets better. Add a cold air kit, and WOW.

Never had the pleasure of actually driving one of these beauties, only that of being a passenger in the rear of the police models.
