1997 Ford Crown Victoria P71 review from North America
"Best Crown Vic ever made"
General comments?
Probably the best year Crown Victoria built. I'm an LEO and drive two newer models (2004 & 2005) crown vics at work. I brougth the 1997 off of Ebay with low miles (was a supervisor's car averaging 9,000 miles a year. This car is sleek, fast, and I'm getting pretty good mileage. I drive it about sixty miles each way to work daily monday through Friday. The engine is fast and responsive. Everything on the vehicle is heavy duty. I plan to get at least another 100,000 miles out of this one. I had a 1994 crown vic (none P71) which I put 212,000 miles on before I donated it to the ADA. These cars will last a long time with just regular preventive maintenance and frequent oil changes at about every three thousand miles! Like the fly boys say "kick the tires and light the fires".
