1999 Ford Escort ZX2 review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
The A/C compressor, brakes, exhaust, and the air conditioning have broken all due to normal wear and tear.
General comments?
What more can I say, it's a 1999 ZX2 with a 5sp and every option offered, it is just about totally stock.
It is very quick, I have reached over 110mph on the highway and have done no engine mods whatsoever.
I have no idea why some of these reviews bash the ZX2; in my opinion it is amazing... I have driven mine for approx 5 months and put on over 12,000 miles, it has over 142,000 and runs absolutely perfect, I paid only $1200 for it.
It is absolutely the best car I have ever had, and I have had a DSM Mitsubishi Eclipse, a Toyota Corolla, and a Subaru Legacy, and the ZX2 tops them all.
It is very comfortable and has a feel of high build quality. It's not tinny like many imports out there, it really takes a lick-in from me as I commute everyday for work and college, but none the less it keeps going strong.
