1979 Ford Escort 1.3 L review from Netherlands
"A not really cheap cure for VW Gti boy racers wannabees"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Ruptured fuel line.
Leaking radiator.
Differential broke in 2!
No wonder with 220 Hp and 280Nm!
Front brake pads replaced 2 times already. Within 8000 Km.
General comments?
With 220 BHP it just pulls and pulls and pulls :-)
It goes 185Km per hour... and then you shift to fifth!
With a 4-link kit/panhard rod/antidive set and coilovers allround it handles great. All I need now is a cure for oversteer!
