1992 Ford Escort L review from UK and Ireland
"Good, cheap and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No major problems as yet, The alarm has played up on a few occasions (usually late at night on quiet roads!)
The car judders quite a bit on occasions, whether it is warm or cold it feels as though it is going to stall.
Fuel economy has got worse over the last few months, may be age or may be a problem on its way.
General comments?
Great car, acceleration is pretty poor, but once it gets going its quick. Brilliant car to fit a sound system into and looks good when lowered and fitted with alloys.
Handles quite nicely and very comfortable to drive, would definatly have another, but maybe an XR3i or a cosworth would be nice!
