The tracking had to be re-done due
to a previous accident I suppose.
The brake pads and disks are now worn out at 85000.
Joints of the sun roof are looking worn out.
Numbers on the speedometer had melted down before I bought it.
This car is an absolute bargain for what it does.
First of all, the engine keeps in low revs at all times due to a long gearbox which won't wear the engine out quickly.
The cabin is in perfect condition for its age and is more comfortable than most recent medium sized cars.
Although the car feels more stable than most recent small cars, its old aerodynamics design can be noticed on motorways on a windy day.
But on the other hand, the consumption of petrol is good enough for an 80's sports car (42miles/gallon on motorways).
It's a good, silent and fast
comfortable car.
Just a question, I own a 1989 Escort Sport, and am getting a lot of "pinking",when put my foot down, seems to happen about 2,000 r.p.m.in all gears.78,ooo miles since new, I am third owner, previous 2 owners same family, not been thrashed, interior superb, body work fine. Cost £275 2 weeks ago and I am made up with it. Numbers on speedo melted as yours.
