1991 Ford Escort GT review from North America
"The power is great for the size and economy."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My timing belt broke at 174,000 km.
My cold air intake sensor broke, causing the car to believe it was -20 degrees Celsius all the time. This caused the car to flood, and the check engine light to stay on.
The passenger side automatic seatbelt sticks sometimes, and won't release.
General comments?
The power is amazing for a 1.8L non-turbo engine, I just can't believe the acceleration.
The handling and turning is great.
The only drawback I have is headroom with the sunroof. I'm over 6' and my head almost touches the roof.
