1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer review from North America
"An expensive disappointment"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear wiper motor quit three times,
was fixed under warranty.
Head gasket blew at 25,000 miles and again at 50,000 miles. The National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration or (NHTSA) web site has numerous Ford service bulletin's for the head gasket problems.
The aluminum motor is faulty and Ford is aware of the problem, but refuses to accept responsibility.
A close friend of mine owns a 5.4 liter powered truck that had the same problem the engine was replaced under warranty after numerous visits to the dealership.
I have owned six Ford vehicles in the past. This is the last Ford or Ford owned product I will purchase. Henry Ford where are you??? Your once proud company has lost its' way.
General comments?
The vehicle is not the problem. Ford Motor Company is the problem.
