1999 Ford Expedition XLT review from North America
"Its great!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front heater isn't working.
Side-board running lights stay on - even after engine is off and car is locked.
Minor oil leak.
It is a gas hog... with the cost of fuel these days it can get expensive.
General comments?
This is one of the best cars we have ever owned! it is very roomy, having 3 kids from ages 4 - 13 we couldn't be more pleased, the third row seating is great to keep the kids separated during road trips. My husband and I looked at many cars before deciding on the Expedition, we aren't mini-van people so this was a great alternative for our family.
The only thing that has gone wrong in the 4 years we have owed it is the front heater won't blow warm air (this just started happening) the rear one works just fine.
And the side-board running lights stick from time to time, normally they fade off after 15 minutes, but now they stay on 30-45 minutes.
It did have a very minor oil leak which was an easy fix.
I would highly recommend the Ford Expedition!
