1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer review from North America
"Strong tough truck; dependable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had tires and a major brake-job done which was way past due when I purchased it. Otherwise, the only thing is the radio lights like to go off. Oil pressure gauge likes to stick when cold but "jumps" back to correct when heated up.
General comments?
This truck runs like new. Compression is STRONG and although it likes the fuel, I've had much worse. All told I have had NO trouble out of this truck and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, any distance. We've taken many family trips in it and it's the one of the most functional, handiest vehicles I've owned. Leather, paint, fit and finish, all are still great at 142k. Powerful V-8 engine and tranny still hossin'.
