1995 Ford Explorer LS review from North America
"Wish I could buy another one as reliable as it has been"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has been a work horse for me.
Usual issues over the years. The automatic window motor died, and we replaced the fuel pump a few years ago, but nothing out of the ordinary.
It has started to stall out within the first few miles of startup, but only now and again. Very scary to stall when you are on the road! Put it in park, and restarts right away.
The computer won't read anymore, and my mechanic can't find anything specific wrong.
The transmission will go soon, but it's original.
I hate to get rid of it, but can't deal with the stalling.
I don't know about the more recent models, but I loved this car!
General comments?
I always had trouble getting the seat close enough for my short legs, but other pushing the gas pedal with my big toe, it was comfortable for me.
My husband and son found the back seat a bit cramped though.
