2000 Ford Explorer Limited review from North America
"Biggest mistake ever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rattles from the dash, doors and rear hatch.
Squeaks caused by bad welds in the "A" pillar.
Paint problems with bubbles and poor finish on the roof & door area.
Power seat mechanism would go "up" all by itself.
Constant whining sound from the hub seals when driving at low speeds.
Brakes make clunking sound when released from a full stop.
This Explorer has been in for a service 14 times and for 28 days, and most of these problems remain unresolved.
General comments?
Having also owned another older Explorer that has been trouble free, I am not impressed with the number of defects and low quality of this vehicle.
All of the problems I've had with this lemon overshadow anything good I could ever have to say about it.
