2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac review from North America
"A decent car, if you don't mind some repairs"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Temperature gage had to be replaced at 15,000 miles, had to take into dealer 3 times before they fixed it right.
Door Ajar light in dash burnt out.
Ball joints needed to be replaced at 20,000 miles.
Oil pressure sending unit also needed to be replaced at 20,000 miles.
All of these problems were covered under the factory warranty.
General comments?
It's a great car, handles nicely.
Only gets around 18MPG on the highway, and that's if you baby it.
Overall I'm happy with the vehicle, I just wish it wasn't in the shop so much.
