1995 Ford Explorer XLT review from North America
"Too expensive for a kid transporter"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Truck is on its third transmission.
1st was slipping - had rebuilt. 11 mos later the radiator cooler ruptured and spilled fluid into the tranny - unnoticed until checking the fluid. Was not covered under rebuild wrty. - all clutches & seals delaminated.
* Have replace ball joints, tie rods and ready for third set of shocks.
* Engine lacks power and transfer case seems to be loose according to the transmission shop.
General comments?
* By a 4 Runner instead.
* Avoid SUV's if you don't need to haul off-road.
