1996 Ford Explorer XLT Sport review from North America
"It has great handling, 4x4 system, and reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Sway bar links need to be replaced.
General comments?
This car has great reliability.
I've had this car from 45,000 miles and now I have 109,000, except for oil changes, tires and plugs, it runs like a champ.
I get about 22-27 miles per gallon for fuel mileage. It sucks now because I had old plugs in it. Should get better now. I get about 300-350 miles per tank of gas.
Very reliable in Wisconsin winters. I love the 4-wheel drive system and the control trac.
The front seats are comfortable, but the back seats in the sport model are not that roomy, but overall I can live with it.
