2001 Ford Explorer Sport review from North America
"Reliable, but a major gas hog!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car is a major gas hog. With prices being as they are today, this is not a practical car at all. I have an hour drive to work everyday and last month I spent $500 on gas alone. I'm getting rid of it tomorrow and buying a VW Golf.
I haven't had any major mechanical problems with the car, sometimes when I'm sitting at a stop light the car will shudder a lot and another thing I don't like is it creaks like it's about to fall apart.
General comments?
It's been reliable and it's a very comfortable car to drive. I drove it to Cali and back, and it was a nice drive and I had no problems with it. I also love how easy it is to lay the back seats down.
