New Transmission.
New Timing Chain.
New Heads.
New Radiator.
Radiator Fan.
Many Electrical problems.
This is the worst Car I ever owned and it was a bottomless pit for money.
Major electrical issues and it would not start many times.
The spark plugs burned right off under any type load.
Many times it would just die out on the road for no reason.
Timing Chain, heads, radiator, (new) front-end, electrical issues.
constant day to day.
I owed more on it after yea and a half than when I bought it used.
I've had the exact opposite of dealings. my 1993 explorer has been the single most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I also have 196000 miles on it, and its not at all very well maintained. I also know many people with the same experiences as i. perhaps yours was somewhat abused and neglected beyond the point of abuse?
I am not accusing this person of anything, just it seems weird to me to see these problems while mines has had next to none.
How can some one rate a car after it is nine years old and has almost 100,000 miles on it. You do not know how the car was maintained as well as you need to think about the fact as things age they can fail. I too have had the exact opposite with my Fords. This rating by this individual is like me saying Toyota's are horrible, because I had a 78 corolla that blew up!!! This was in 1994LOL.
My 1993 explorer sport 5 speed is the best thing ever with 200,000 miles on it people just take care of your cars since I got the truck has been good to me every tells me how fast it is to be a V6 4.0 and something that can burn out like a champ that why I love my sport.
