1993 Ford F150 XLT Flareside review from North America
"I only wish it was standard"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator went, my fault when I arced out the battery putting subs in.
One piston ring went from me abusing it.
Vapour cannister cracked so I got terrible mileage but better performance, after I removed it from the motor (was temporary until it became too fun to drive like that.)
Gear selector broke inside of the steering column and I busted the ignition getting the cowl off, so it looked stolen wherever I drove it (specially since I drove it like it was stolen.)
Transmission was a piece of garbage that never wanted to shift... only real problem in the whole vehicle.
Routine maintenance.
General comments?
Sharp looking vehicle.
Lots of fun to drive with the big 5.0 Liter motor (specially after illegal amounts of octane booster.)
Handled like a champ, could take any corner at ridiculous speeds.
Couple things broke, but it never failed to start.
I would buy another one in a heartbeat, only reason I still don't have it is because some kids stole it and crashed it joyriding.
