2002 Ford F150 FX4 Supercab review from North America
"Get One!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
RF wheel bearing at 100K.
LF wheel bearing at 160K.
Alternator at 160K.
General comments?
This is hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned! I bought the truck from the dealer with 82k and they had new shocks, tires, and brakes put on it.
The first wheel bearing replacement was legit, but the second one was from me bangin the crap out of the rotor when I replaced the brakes. I am a do it yerselfer mechanic, but had the dealer do the tranny flushes. All the other fixes were from mileage: tires, shocks, brakes.
Never once did this truck let me down! It has been on roadtrips (obviously lots with 170K), in the mud and snow, pulling toys around, and everything else you can think of.
Other than the less than standard gas mileage and the uncomfy seats, I rate it an A.
