1984 Ford F150 review from North America

Harmonic balancer at 146,480.

Horn I dunno.

Rust (and lots of it).

Frozen e-brake cable (even after I knocked the dry mud off of it)

I've had this truck for about 3 weeks now, and love every second of it. Yes it's old, yes it's rusty (it can put my foot through the floor.. literally), yes it has over a thousand miles, but it has the trusty 300 I6 and 4-sp manual tranny in it and everything's still original (A/C compressor still says Motorcraft on it).

Previous owner and friends used the truck for boggin, and quite literally have put it through hell (the replacement panel on the drivers side floor - it dented as if landing on top of something).

Only thing I've had to do to it is replace the harmonic balancer that finally went (the outer ring separated from the inner), but it's a good thing I live across the street from an auto yard.

Other than that, everything works the way it should (now that my eyes had adjusted to the green backlight LOL), and everything except the tires are original.

The interior is indeed a bit rough, but as soon as I took the seat cover off, lo and behold the bench was in mint condition (not one tear or mark).

The windshield is cracked in several places, and the tint on the single-pane rear window is bubbled.

I have several things I want to restore on this truck to bring it back to its former glory, and as one reviewer said, they'll have to bury me in it.
