2 ignition coils went out at 50,000 miles.

This truck is very fast.
It's governed at 105 MPH.

I love fords new Triton 5.4, it has all the power you need. They will out run the 327 and the 350 Chevy. My dad has a 5.4 ext. cab truck and it will run great for a truck. I have raced both a 350 and 327 and beat them both by a hair.
Ford 1999 van with triton v8 at about 36000 miles the engine started mis firing back to ford dealer for repairs changed 2 coil packs one spark plug idle motor and said its out of warranty by 100 miles 800.00 dollers OK runs fine for 2000 miles more take to another garage can't find skip as random now computer can't tell changes pluges 350.00 dollars skips like mad back to ford can't get to you for two weeks very busy then said module bad for igintion replaced runs fine again 3000.miles more skips again back to shop said bad spark plug on number 3 changed all the plugs idel skip fixed, but left with above idle mis fire when pulling from stop or up hill back to garage said no codes should be fine tail pipe turning dark black noted power loss money light not on yet un able to pass slow moving cars I always owned a ford, but a can no longer stand to I know it is time that ford give a good hard look and have a ford rep do something good this is emission related failure and if I owned ford motors I would give 100000. mile warranty and sure as hell omit the faulty things in the next model year!! gilbertgauvin@snet.net.
