1979 Ford F150 review from North America
"The most fun truck I had"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission started popping out of gear.
Clutch went out, twice.
Tailgate fell off due to rust.
Blinker switch physically broke.
Shifter jammed up on new drivers.
Linkage worn for clutch petal.
General comments?
Despite this being a beater I loved it. The '79 with the square headlights, but before the nasty 80's changes looked the best. A little doggier in the low range of 3rd gear at first. Then the '76 302 would go from 75 mph to the needle on to the "M" on "MPH" on the bottom of the gage in just a few seconds. Could get getting rubber in 2nd gear take off.
