1984 Ford F150 2 wheel drive review from North America
"A inexpensive truck for the money, that still runs as good today, as it did in 1984"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The following are new:
valve cover gaskets, front brake pads, rear drum shoes, e-brake cables, radiator, front wheel bearings, tires, brake booster, and a battery.
All of these items were installed by myself, (an auto body technician), to save money on repairs.
General comments?
This truck was purchased from a private owner for $700. It has a Leer fiberglass cap on an 8ft. bed, dual gas 18.5 gallon tanks, factory swing out mirrors, an Edelbrock Performance intake manifold, a Holley 390cfm 4-barrel carburetor, and factory AC. It came with a tape player which didn't work, and was soon replaced. Radio / tape player installation was breeze and can be done by anyone. The former owner also had "The Rusty Jones Rustproofing" treatment done. The floors and bed are rust free.
