The following are new:
valve cover gaskets, front brake pads, rear drum shoes, e-brake cables, radiator, front wheel bearings, tires, brake booster, and a battery.
All of these items were installed by myself, (an auto body technician), to save money on repairs.
This truck was purchased from a private owner for $700. It has a Leer fiberglass cap on an 8ft. bed, dual gas 18.5 gallon tanks, factory swing out mirrors, an Edelbrock Performance intake manifold, a Holley 390cfm 4-barrel carburetor, and factory AC. It came with a tape player which didn't work, and was soon replaced. Radio / tape player installation was breeze and can be done by anyone. The former owner also had "The Rusty Jones Rustproofing" treatment done. The floors and bed are rust free.
I bought a1984 f150 for 575.00 from an elderly gentleman. after changing fuel pump, solenoid, and fuel filter I continued to have problems with the the truck quitting. I then installed an in-line fuel filter and quickly discovered that the fuel tank was full of rust. If anyone knowsof an easy fix for this I would appreciate your help. thankyou p.s.please respond on your survey sight.
The easy fix is to get a new gas tank.
