"Fair to poor"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

1. Automatic hub failed at 50,000 miles.

2. both gas tanks required leak repair 60,000 miles.

3. engine oil pan leaking 40,000 miles replaced at 70,000 miles (rusted).

4. exhaust system hanger's failed.

5. drive shaft carrier bearing failed.

(no grease fitting)

6. u-joints failed (no grease fitting)

7. rear spring failed.80,000 miles.

8. gas tank's failed required replacement 120,000 miles.

9. bolt on spare tire hanger failed the first time I needed the spare. (the only time)!

10. failed ball-joint (no grease fitting).

11. water leak on windshield (dealer adjusted door).

12. door hinges failed (I wonder if this has anything to do with the aforementioned problem).

13. second automatic 4x4 hub failed 120,000 miles.

14. heat shield for exhaust system rusted out, or fell off.

15. brake lining fell of pads destroyed

rotor.

16. throttle position sensor (pot),(EGR) valve, (EGR) tube, all failed.

17. cargo box cross members rusted out where they bolted to truck frame.

18. truck repairs cost the insurance co.$2200,00 when a deer ran into the side of the cab. (cab has rusted out at the point)

General comments?

Other than the above problems it's a good truck.

Handles A small goose-neck trailer well. (truck has factory extra weight, and trailer package's).

The addition of a few grease fittings, and better fuel tanks, and oil pan this

would be a super truck.

Are you kidding, 120k and u-joints and rusted out stuff are your only problems? You better thank whoever talked you into buying this truck or else you would have 5 pages of complaints about your Chevy or Dodge. Ford are awesome, use some preventative maintenance and you will be fine. My 95 F-150 with 185k living in Vermont runs like new, original everything except brakes, take care of your vehicle and you will have nothing to complain about.

Susan.
