Well young man... my 1st stop would be lmctruck.com, for seals, body parts, etc.
2nd if you are planning on lifting the truck, and it is a 2 wheel drive, get a hold of John at autofab.com
3rd J C Whitney.com, I bought a complete set of window door & body seals, and a carpet and I was surprised at what well made products they were.
Hope this helps.
Hey kid, restore that truck, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I was like you and I had a 79 F150 2 wheel drive. I was gonna restore that truck and never did because of people convincing me otherwise, so I built up a 86 Ford F250 Diesel which died. And that old 79 is still running around with a new owner because I was a dumb ass and sold it.
But I've had a 79 F150 Custom with a Cleveland and an automatic, a 78 F150 Ranger 4x4 with a 400 4spd, and I'm now buying a 78 F150 Ranger 2 wheel drive. Which has a 302 and an automatic. I'm going to make a little street truck out of it to mess with those Chevy boys, but just restore that gem you've got it may take longer than going and buying a new truck, but when you are done you will have something special.
Some feat owning a vehicle eight years from the future. Question, did you use a flux capacitor or did you use a Klingon Bird of Prey and slingshot around the sun to pickup the pickup of the future? I was hoping to get a 2015 Ford F-150 now and since you were able to get a future truck in the past your insight would be most enlightening.
