2002 Ford F150 XLT review from North America
"A never-ending nightmare - RUN AWAY"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission replaced at 65,000 after a transmission flush - wrong substance used. Ford did nothing to help with this.
Rear AC rattled after 40,000 -- motor went out
twice.
Many electrical problems - alarm going off; door ajar light on when all doors closed; Rear Hatch would unlock randomly; doors constantly locking themselves. Alarm would go off three or four times a night!! Had to disengage whole system because FORD did know how to fix it. Check engine light on for no reason.
This one is the kicker -- Whole back window collapsed with my 5 year old 2 feet away. FORD again did nothing and this cost over 2 grand to fix. The hydraulic arm hinge fell out of place causing pressure on the window.
Now the air bag light is on?? A never-ending nightmare.
General comments?
Car started off great, but fell apart quickly once the warranty was used up.
