1999 Ford F250 Super Duty review from North America
"A potent work truck that is great for fleets"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front ball joints replaced at 60,000 miles.
Front coolant pipe to bottom radiator hose leak at 80,000 miles.
Camshaft sensor bad at 90,000 miles resulted in "no start" condition out on job-site.
Passenger side fuel line to back of cylinder head leak at 119,000 miles=no recall yet? Other trucks (2) have had same problems.
Turbo pipe to inter-cooler replaced at 120,000 miles due to chafing with wires.
General comments?
These are tough yet powerful trucks that can haul.
Common problematic items are readily accessible such as camshaft sensors, fuel pumps, etc.
Not built for those who have McDonald's budgets. These trucks are pricey when things break, just wait till you replace rear brake rotors.
Carry lots of engine oil, these trucks are rather thirsty.
