1991 Ford Festiva GL review from North America
"Buy one with a 5-speed and a full interior!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Backup lights did not work.
Exhaust had been removed.
Interior had been removed.
Automatic transmission didn't shift very quickly.
Driver's seat was torn.
Dome light didn't work.
Didn't hold up well in an accident.
Steering was way out of alignment.
Had a small oil leak.
License tag lights didn't work (but we fixed them).
It was very loud inside at speed.
(I bought it from a friend).
Rear struts were shot.
Brakes needed work.
Handbrake didn't work.
A/C had been removed.
Heater core had been removed.
General comments?
Very reliable car, but with a three-speed automatic it didn't get the greatest gas mileage (21-25mpg in town).
These cars aren't very crash-worthy.
It is fun dodging through traffic with one though.
I'm 6'3" and can sit up in this little car very easily.
