The right side cv joint is starting to wear out, I just keep it well greased.
I had to unseize the parking brake mechanisms and cables.
The head gasket is starting to leak oil.
It had the tranny rebuilt and the clutch done before I bought it.
The top end of the motor was rebuilt when the car was 4 years old (my mistake for starting it at -40 C without the block heater plugged in)
It had the timing belt and drive gear replaced at 360 000 kms. (same as before, you should always plug these in)
Just put a new battery in it, just regular maintenance, batterys don't last forever.
Keep it maintained well, like any car should be, and it will never let you down, this is hands down the most reliable, cheap, eaiest to own vehicle I've ever had, people who don't like these little mules simply don't know how to take car of ANY car. a fantastic simple little workhorse, just don't expect it to be more than it is.

Somebody unplugged the heater from the rear of my festiva, now this morning I have to start it at minus 20. Hopefully I can locate where to plug it in soon. It's a 3 prong male plug somewhere behind near the oil filter maybe, but I can't locate it. Maybe it does not work either, hence why it is unplugged. But the car is very good, 1991 Ford Festiva. It hasn't let me down yet since buying it with 208,000 kms on it. I put a new alternator belt on for 10 bucks and that's it. I add about a litre of oil per week.
