NONE.
I got given this to run when I changed job at the start of the year (so didn't choose it myself).
These cars handle brilliantly, but my granny could outrun it in a straight line!
The problem is the 1.25 engine-it's good, but only puts out 75bhp and these Fiestas weigh over a ton, therefore crap power to weight ratio. I have driven the old shape Fiesta 1.25 and it felt like a rocket ship compared to this.
The other problem is that at 80 mph it's doing about 4,000 rpm so on a long journey you get out
feeling like someone's hit you over the head with a sledge hammer.
However, I'm being too harsh-good points are that it's roomy for a small car, build quality is very good, they look O.K, and like I said earlier, they corner like they're on rails.
If I was buying myself it would have to be the 1.4 16v at the minimum in a Zetec spec.
Must be loads heavier than the mk4, which with an identical 75PS 1.25 Zetec-SE engine, gets from 0-60 in just over 11 seconds, and never feels gutless.
They are loads heavier-about 160 kilos heavier.
Dosn't sound much, but that's about two average weight adults.
Or, put in other terms, your Fiesta has a power to weight ratio of about 80 bhp a ton and mine is 68 bhp a ton!
Got my fiesta a week ago. it has 1.4l engine under the hood and we`ll see how it will handle bad roads, winter cold, salt on the roads, traffic jams, etc... so far, it runs great. i`ll post my update when spring 07 comes around.
